Serves 6 ❄
- 500g pork mince
- 1 egg, lightly beat
- 1 red onion, finely diced or grated
- 1 medium granny smith apple, grated
This flavour combination is fantastic no matter how you enjoy it: beautiful burgers, meatballs, rissoles or meatloaf.
Place all ingredients into a medium bowl and season with sea salt and cracked pepper. Using damp hands, combine the mixture well and form into 6 thick patties of equal sizes. Place onto a baking tray, cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes (or until ready to cook). In a nonstick frying pan over a moderate/high heat, add patties and cook for 4 to 5 minutes each side or until cooked through.

This is such a versatile recipe; fill it with whatever vegetables and proteins your family will eat. It’s a great way to use up leftovers.
